Small and Medium Expertises (SMEs) play a pivotal role in the growth of the Indian economy. They currently contribute towards approximately 45% of yearly industrial output and 40% of exports, employing 60 million people. They also create 1.3 million jobs every year and produce more than 8,000 quality products for the Indian and international markets. SME's contribution towards GDP in 2011 was approximately 17% and is expected to increase to 22% by 2012. There are more than 30 million Micro, Small and Medium (MSME) Units in India and their growth is all set to pace ahead of GDP growth. These 30 million SMEs present a $100 million market opportunity in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) space*.

The adoption of ICT among SMEs is still limited, mainly due to lack of awareness. Adopting ICT is an adaptive challenge, not a technical challenge. AGC Networks plays a very critical role in this process by breaking the myth that 'technology is for large enterprises' by first understanding their business needs and then helping them choosing the appropriate technology. It also showcases to them concrete benefits it can bring to their business.
