Integrated Dealing Room Solution

AMCs have multiple institutional brokers empanelled on their list to execute trade requests for investment in equities. It becomes extremely critical to have most of the key brokers connected to the network to execute the trade requests as soon as possible. Also stringent regulatory guidelines require trades to be executed via multiple brokers as against a single broker.

This increases the need for a state-of-the-art dealing room solution which can maintain open lines with the brokers and ensure tighter integration with the back office. Since a lot of trade requests are given verbally, it is important to record each and every conversation. The trade values are high and to remain competitive in the industry it is extremely important to also have a disaster recovery set up ready at all times for the traders to use in case of a natural or man made disaster.

Solution

Avaya has IP dealer boards which can be connected to the existing Avaya Communication Manager (ACM) as an IP end point. This eliminates the need to have a separate switch for the dealing room and also provides a tighter integration between the back office and the dealing room. A recording solution can also be integrated with the dealing boards and the Communication Manager in a way that the entire communication including the back office can be recorded. Since Communication Manager is shared between the enterprise and the dealing room, the solution provides a low cost of ownership too.
