Integrated Dealing Room Solutions for Institutional Brokers

The Indian equity market has been giving fabulous returns for the past three years. More and more MNC institutional brokers are starting operations in India either directly or are taking a dominating stake in Indian institutions. The number of foreign institutional investors (FII) and FIs in the Indian equity market has also increased three fold in the last 2 years.

This has increased the volume and also the need for sophisticated, reliable and state-ofthe- art dealing room solutions. The current dealing rooms in India have either an IPC or BT dealer board which runs on a time division multiplexing (TDM) technology. While the entire enterprise is on IP, it’s only the dealing room that is isolated from the enterprise and is on TDM.

This also requires the organization to invest in a separate TDM switch which needs to be integrated with the enterprise PBX over a Q6 giving very little feature transparency between the back office and the dealing room. The organization also has to interact with multiple vendors to resolve any problems in the entire set up.

Solution

Avaya has identified the gap in the existing solutions and has partnered with IP Trade to launch IP Trade’s Dealer Boards (turrets) in India. These turrets integrate with Avaya Communication Manager (ACM) as an IP end point as they are SIP compatible. This eliminates the need for a separate switch in between to integrate the turrets with the ACM.

This also provides 100% transparency between the back office and dealing rooms. Thus, Avaya is now in a position to provide an end-to-end dealing room solution with maximum redundancy including the recording system.

IP Trade turrets also provide free seating, login access security, multiple duplex communications, upto 6000 one touch dialing, touch screen, integration with Unified Communications, CRM and Bloomberg and host of other advanced features.
